Helper Role

Moderators in TheNorthCop should strive to act outside of their role where necessary. You are expected to keep up to date with the group & everything going on. It is important you build necessary relations & expertise in the event of staff promotions.

Chat Moderation

  • As a moderator in TheNorthCop your primary responsibility is ensuring the member lounges, areas / chats stay inviting, informative and clear of sensitive topics, material etc. Please see the staff commands guide on the left for commands you can use to moderate chat.

  • It is important members understand the rules set forth in the group, if members are breaking rules swift action and discipline should be used to discourage any further conversation, reactions or actions from occurring.

Support Handling - Tickets & Questions

  • Moderators should be on the look out while on discord for un answered tickets, questions or member dms looking for assistance. If there are tickets already being handled by the support then there is no cause for worry

  • If you are able to chime in on tickets for subjects you are knowledgeable on that is acceptable.

Bot Setups & Info

  • Wherever possible, when asked please provide bot setups for releases!

Activity

  • As a moderator in TheNorthCop, we ask that you are as active as you see fit. It does make a difference if a moderator is active in the group, and we would prefer if everyone as active as they can be. We understand many moderators have life to attend to, so we are understanding of everything. Simply put, we appreciate any and all time dedicated to TheNorthCop.

Moderator Compensation

  • Base Pay: $0 /m

  • Bonus Pay: $50-100 /m

  • Promotion: Promotion to higher positions

  • Staff only WTS / WTB

  • Staff only Slots

  • Recognition within the Community

  • Access to staff only GBs whenever available

It is possible for a moderator to be paid in bonus depending on the contribution to the group. Moderators who go above and beyond to diffuse situations, ping for releases, provide information, and answer tickets / questions are eligible for bonuses or promotions.
