Chat Moderation Commands

Use these commands to moderate chat & other areas of the group

Temporarily Muting a Member

Mutes should be provided to members when they are out of line, arguing or causing a disturbance within the group. This is not limited to, inappropriate pictures, spamming, arguments, politics, disrespect.

Command: !tempmute @membername duration | IE) !tempmute @chief 2h

Durations: Minutes = M Hours = H Days = D You can use whatever duration you want, ie) 1h, 2h, 1d, 15m

It is important that this command isn't abused, and is only used for member management.

Unmuting a Member

In the event that a member has been muted for too long or someone needs to be unmuted you are able to unmute

Command: !unmute @membername | IE) !unmute @chief

Warning a Member

It is important to use warnings to provide members with insight as to what they have done wrong. Warn a member for spamming, self promotion or other low-level rule breaking.

Command: !warn @membername reasoning | IE) !warn @chief spamming

After 3 warnings the member is muted for a 2 hour duration.

Slowmoding the Chats

In extreme cases, it is important to slow mode chats when things get out of hand, and multiple members are spamming, arguing or causing a ruckus.

Command: !slowmode 15 | IE) !slowmode 15

Command: !slowmode off - Turns slowmode off

Durations: 15 = 15 seconds 60 = 60 seconds

dont go over anything longer than 60 seconds as thats really long.

  • slowmodes chat for 15 seconds, you can change the interval
